Not all of us were blessed with green fingers. In fact, most of us find it easier to kill a plant than we do breathe. Luckily for us, there are some plants that, no matter how hard you try (or don’t try) to kill, just won’t die. Here is a list of the houseplants you can actually keep alive with minimal effort!

Bird's Nest Plant   Birds Nest

This fern plant thrives in lower light areas. The soil surrounding the plant should always be moist but never damp and is known to survive even when it’s soil is dry.

Ghost Plant   Ghost Plants

This plant is a member of the succulent family. They thrive in full sun and should not be watered too often. It is best to check how dry the top soil surrounding the plant is before watering.

Jade Plant   The Jade Plant

The Jade plant likes full sunshine and doesn’t need to be watered often but will need the occasional watering when the top of its surrounding soil is dry. They can survive in average to warmer temperature surroundings.

Lamb's Ear Plant   Lamb’s Ear

This plant is unique in that it has wooly leaves. It prefers good sunlight. It need only be watered every now and then. It is resistant to a poor quality soil.

Mother-In-Law's Tongue   Mother-in-Law’s Tongue

This attractive plant thrives indoors as it likes shade. They only need to be watered every now and then, as they prefer to dry out a little in between. As we have previously mentioned- they filter the air too!

Orchid   Phalaenopsis Orchid

These plants like moderate to bright light areas and should be watered only every week to week and a half. Ice cubes can be used to water the Orchid as this ensures slow absorption.

Peace Lily   Peace Lily

This flowering plant is easy to maintain! It doesn’t need direct sunlight but should get a little light. It needs to be watered when the top soil is dry. During winter, this plant only needs to be watered every two weeks or so.

Purple Clover   The Purple Clover

This plant has triangular leaves that are shaped like shamrocks. The purple-red colour is what we love most about it! It requires a little indirect sunlight and occasional watering. It does, however, prefer cooler weather so a warm house would not be ideal.

Spider Plant   Spider Plant

This spider-like plant actually enjoys living in a pot. It likes brighter areas of the house but not direct sunlight. They don’t like to be overwatered and actually survive through times of no watering.
